PanPastels, Lavinia Stamp, some Glossy Accents and a Ribbon!

Sentiment Stamp from Clarity Stamps

Morning all,

I spent all day yesterday, after I had completed my normal domestic engineering, sorting out my craft room.
There's no space in my room for me 'cos it's so full of stuff ( it's a tiny room!) so  I craft downstairs.

It's a pain having to keep running up and down stairs to get what I need, but it keeps me fit!

Anyway, a bit more to do today so I will quickly post this tag that I've made for this weeks PanPastel challenge called Add a Ribbon.
COME on join  in ... You can win some PanPastels to try and your entry does not have to be made using PanPastels ... any medium you like..... plus a ribbon!

These PanPastels   sure have me hooked!
Lovely Lavinia Stamps .... Tidy!

This tag took no time at all!
Various PanPastel colours swiped over some textured card to make the background. Then spray lightly with a cheap hairspray to seal the colour.

Lavinia Stamps Poppies and a Sentiment Stamp from Clarity  both stamped using Versafine Black Ink then Glossy Accents applied to the poppy heads, add a ribbon....  Job done!

A Shout Out now for some new bloggers that need support!

Please take a look at these three links ... Two of them are new bloggers, Caz who makes such pretty cards, just look at the one she has on her blog at the moment, gorgeous!

Then take a stroll over to  This Wedding Stationery From Barbara! Fabulous work and  you can see some beautiful wedding pictures!

Finally... Please enter a card for Rudolph Day! You only have a short time so get cracking, there is a small prize going for this.
I am making mine today if I can bear to touch my tidy stash in my craft room !

See you soon .. Thanks for the comments and a warm welcome to my new followers ...( tell yer mates about me!  xxx )

PanPastels with a beautiful ' Wild Horses ' Stamp from the USA.

Hello everyone
Another week has flown by and this card is my Design Team sample for the PanPastel UK Challenge 'Animals'.
I think this stamp is one of the most beautiful images I have. It has laid unloved, in a drawer! I do not have the name of the stamp but the number is .... K-1806  2001 PSX  Santa Rosa,CA.
The bird image is a Clarity Stamp and the Swans/Geese on the other card are from Lavinia Stamps
I have used my PanPastels to create the background and the Sun.
Much more vivid sun on this card
Please see this earlier post  for more information on how  to create the Sun/moon!
It's a doddle to do!  Takes just a few minutes.
I had so much fun making this card I made another!
Almost the same but slightly different colours and a bit smaller .
Thanks for stopping by my blog today ... Stay warm, stay safe and I'll see you soon.
If you are tempted to buy some PanPastels you can get the most gorgeous colours here at Your Creativity Store.          Go on.... you know you want to!
Lavinia Stamps Swans or Geese
I will be showing off some of the gorgeous cards that my 'students' completed at my last brayering workshop,  in my next post ..... Super work!
Thank you for stopping by and its only 25 days until the next F1 racing season BEGINS .... Woo-hoo Jensen and Lewis ..... Cracking!

Distressed Inks Tag and Studio 490 Stamps

Hi,

I hope you are having a super weekend. I am crafting and loving it!

Just a quick post this afternoon.

I saw a tag posted on this Super blog of Candy's and just fell in love with the colours.

I have the stamps, so this is my take on this fabulous Tim Holtz Die Cut tag.

Candy is such a clever lady ... take a look !  Gorgeous work and stunning colours!

I used a punch to punch the circle and stencilled through the negative with various colours of distressed Inks.

Overlapping the colours, as I went all over the tag, with my circle mask!

Good fun ... then  I stamped the 'Eyes' from the Studio 490 Stamp set and got to work with my trusty white gel pen.

Candy uses this technique on her card and the eyes really 'pop'

Thanks for looking today see you soon

PanPastels, Heart to Heart Lace Doily Die and a Clarity Stamp on a Tim Holtz Die Cut Tag

Clarity Stamp.
Hi everyone,

This is my Design Team Sample for this weeks PanPastel UK Challenge called  Love and Romance.

It's a Tim Holtz Tag cut from grunge paper and covered in one coat of gesso, followed by a coat of white acrylic paint. I applied a fair bit of both of the mediums, as I wanted  to get some texture in there as well!

I  used PanPastels to colour the tag, then stamped with a selection of different background stamps in black ink.

The whole tag was covered with Versamark Ink and clear embossing powder then heated with a heat gun.

I like the 'varnished' effect and of course, it sets the chalk of the PanPastels ( you can buy them here)

I invested in a set of the tint colours this week ... Oh so lush!

The roses were cut using the English Rose Die from Marianne Creatables. Each rose was 'squished' around in some left over white acrylic paint, plus some glitter.

The lovers image, from Clarity stamps, was stamped onto card with black ink and then cut with one of the dies from a Heart to Heart Lace Doily Die set.

I used some  Old Gold Metallic Rub On colour over the top of the outer larger Heart Die from the same set.

The other dies are Fantasy Foliage from Marianne Creatables.

A few gems, some fancy wool and bingo!

It was fun making this. It's not so bright as my usual stuff but you need a rich dark atmosphere for romance to flourish !

BTW please take a look at the card my friend Dee made with some PanPastels she bought recently... Her very first PanPastel card ... rock 'n roll !

Thanks for stopping by today.

See you soon

Tim Holtz Tag, Tim Holtz Technique, Studio 490 Stamps and PanPastels.

Hi, This is just a quick post to show you a tag that I  made, very quickly this morning, after watching a Tim Holtz video on You tube!

Tim used distressed Inks and a different set of stamps ... but I wanted to see if it would work with my PanPastels. Result...... it did!

Just blocks of  PanPastel colour, some gorgeous Studio 490 stamps, that I purchased at Ally Pally last year and a white gel pen ... I get through a few of these pens ... they are great for 'tarting' stuff up!  lol

 That's it..... see you soon

Tim Holtz Tag and Rosette Die ..... Plus PanPastels!

Yo ho..... all you bloggers and followers!

I hope your weekend is going well. It's heavy snow and  cold here, so I've been 'forced 'to spend more time indoors crafting.... Its a hard life!

Take care if you are going out.

This tag is my design team sample for the PanPastel  UK Challenge Blog.

The theme is 'Happy Birthday'

It's a Tim Holtz technique from his 12 days of Christmas Tags.

Metal tape stuck to some glossy card then embossed in a Cuttlebug folder.
Cover with Acrylic paints, then sandpaper some paint off.

Swipe over the whole area with distressed ink then heat emboss with clear embossing powder. I did this twice but used Versamark ink the second time. It gives you a nice 'varnished ' look!

Cut to fit and attach to the tag. Use strong glue like Glossy Accents.

It was inspired from the Tim Holtz Twelve days of Christmas Tags ... you can see Tim's tag and how it was made HERE
Such rich PanPastel Colours

It was fun and easy to make.

Tim Holtz is all over this post because the Rosette Die is also one of his!

I coloured both of the rosettes with Panpastels and they are available here.

Don't forget to set the PanPastels with a cheap hairspray!

I love the bright colours and they blend so well with no fuss or bother or naughty words!

The button for the middle of the rosette is a die cut from Marianne Creatables called 'Button Flower'
I am entering this tag in to the fab Lets create challenge blog.( Hi ladies! )
Have a super duper Sunday and I'll be back soon .

Thank you for looking at my post today and for leaving me such fab comments.

BTW.... Another  'Rudolph Day' is on the way .... keep a look out here Stamping for pleasure  !
