PanPastels, Quickutz Daisy and a Crealies Template

Ignore the Yellow... they are Lemon Daisies (squint a bit!)
Yahoo fans!
I'm having a super weekend so far... I hope you are too.

The weather is a bit 'iffy' but who cares when you are crafting. I spent yesterday messing about with Tim Holtz .... well, his products anyway!

Daisies are LEMON not yellow! .... rubbish picture, sorry!

I had loads of fun at a local Craft Store, Scrapbook Sisters in Rainham Kent, playing with paint and all manner of goodies. I will post my project when I have finished it ... you will be Ooooooo and Ahhhhhhing all over the place !

Ladybird is Red.... Flowers are LEMON...... okay!
This is my DT sample for the Magnificent PanPastel UK Challenge.    Go and have a look.... quick!

Huh! even worse here ..... THINK LEMON !!!

This weeks challenge theme is 'Springtime'.
You don't have to use PanPastels in your entry to be in with a chance of winning, so why not have a go?
The winner will be chosen by Random.Org next Saturday and will win a super trial pack of PanPastels courtesy of our Sponsor.

For this card, I dusted off my Cricut Expressions Machine and cut some circles to use with a
Crealies Template.

( Link is here for Crealies  Go to the 'Simple Shortcuts' page and it's called template no1.)

The circle sizes are..... 2  x Five and half inches for the base,  1 x Five inches  and finally 1 x Four and half inches.

Place the two smaller circles on to the *a* and *b* templates and draw in the straight lines with a pencil,  cut them out and layer up as shown.
You will also need to cut more circles to decorate the inside of your card if you wish.
There is a hinge included on the template to cut out, so you can join your base white card stock together.

It's all pretty straight forward. It has to be 'cos I can't be doing with 'faffing' about!
I used the Going Places Cartridge in the Cricut.

The Lemon ( Oh....yes they are!) daisies, are cut using a Quickutz Daisy die and the leaves are the 'Olive Branch' die from Dies to Die for.  I coloured the daisies with my PanPastels ... in Lemon!

Okay fans,  I'm off, lots to do today, gardening, washing, cleaning cars .... Oh rissoles, it's raining I'll have to CRAFT then!

When you have a moment, please take a look at my friend Jools' blog HERE.

Jools is new to PanPastels and is producing super results!
Thank you for looking today and for the kind comments you leave me.

Mike... good luck with your Op tomorrow! Xxx

Thanks for popping by my blog.
Take care x

PanPastels and Dylusions Stamps

Morning fans... who's a lucky girl today then? I checked my lottery ticket last night after returning home from the Allhallows Crop, where I had enjoyed a super duper day with my crafty mates, to find I had won £2.50 in Fridays draw! I'm going to rush off and buy a roll of double sided tape! I love spending money on craft stuff. :)

Talking of spending money .... I spent a 'few bob' at Ally Pally last week, on Tim Holtz Ranger products including his Distress Stains (all of 'em!)  I had a great time and also bought the Dylusions stamp set that I've used on the bookmarks shown here.

Lets face it, the funkiness of the stamps along with the vibrancy of  PanPastels ...What a winner'!

So easy to make too! Swish about a bit with any colours you like of the PanPastels, set the colours with a cheap hairspray or fixative and stamp the images using black ink, I used Versafine here.

Bish, bash, bosh!.... job done.

Oh yes, because this weeks PanPastel Challenge is 'Add a Flower' , I cut some of the Marianne Creatables 'Button Flower' flowers, coloured them with PanPastels and plonked them on each bookmark.

You do not have use PanPastels on your entry,  use any medium you like.

Go on have a go, a great prize to win of a PanPastel Trial pack. Say I sent you....Every little helps. tic!

Well, that's it for  today.

Thank you for following and looking at my blog. Please pop back  in the week to see some tags that I made yesterday at the crop using Dylusions Stains... (put your sun glasses on for those!)

A quick message to my fellow Allhallows Crop Members .... yesterday was fab, thanks for your company and the laughter!

F1 racing later today... crafty table out in front of the Telly.... see, told you I was lucky!

Have a great  Sunday.

Black Magic Technique with Dylusions Stamps

Morning,  I had a lovely day yesterday playing with new crafty stuff that I bought  at Ally Pally on Sunday.

I had a super time with my friends but spent far too much!

I fell in love with these stamps from Ranger called Dylusions.

I've made some really bright bookmarks using my PanPastels  and these stamps that I will be posting on Sunday.... in the meantime I also made this card.

Using the 'solid leaves' from the set, I stamped onto black card stock with White Pigment Ink, dried the image with a heat gun, coloured in with Prisma  or ordinary coloured pencils and a white gel pen. Job done! Easy or wot!

More new followers......Thank you sooo much and thanks also for taking the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely kind comments ...
Be back soon

My Sample Tags 'Homework' from the Tim Holtz on-line Creative Chemistry Class .

Shattered Stains Technique

Blended Distress / Spitz and Flick.
I had the MOST enormous fun taking part in this class and I LOVED all the homework !

The class, called 'Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101' is still available for purchase so I cannot give you loads of details because of copyright.

I made all the tags shown here, using products from Ranger, plus various inks and stamps that I already had in my craft stash.

The idea was to understand how different products interact with each other. This, for me, not only succeeded but was very valuable.

Brush-less Watercolour

Wrinkle-Free Distress Technique

Archival Resist Technique.

Custom Stamp Pad Technique

Stamping with Markers Technique

Nostalgic Batik Technique

Rusted Enamel Technique

Distress Powder Resist Technique

Paint Dabber Resist Technique
Crackle Paint Resist Technique
Perfect Splatter Distress Technique.

I will be back with more Tags from the class. Thanks for looking. Eileen xxx

PanPastels and a White Gel Pen

Yo ho fans :)

The text for this post is very brief I'm  afraid.     Mmmmmm... who said " good." " We only look at the pictures anyway"!  ;)

I'm on holiday at the moment, down on The  Romney Marsh, in Kent, in a Caravan. The weather is beautiful but the Internet signals are NAFF! I've been trying all day to post this card!

This is my sample DT card for this weeks PanPastel UK Challenge called  ''Sweet Treats''
Please enter a  card / project, you could win a prize of a  super duper Trial Pack of the Pans. Believe me, once you  have used them you will be hooked!

The background of this card is made from strips of white card stock, coloured with PanPastels and a few spots added here and there with my white gel pen!

It's my take on the  'woven' look !

The little basket of eggs is made from a Quickutz Die, again coloured with PanPastels.

This card was very quick to make and I just love how rich in colour the PanPastels are and how smooth to apply!

See you again soon ... My crafty mate Karen and her husband, Ian, have joined us for a few days and while Ken and Ian are out bird watching and taking pictures of anything that moves, Karen and I will be in my caravan, making a huge mess with our card making gear and stuffing chocolate in our gobs!

Thanks for looking today and have a very Happy Easter .

BTW  Your comments are super ... thank you so much for taking the trouble to leave them for me to read and enjoy ... I will be around your blogs in return as soon as I can .... X
