Papermania Bauble Decoration Stamp

Papermania Stamp.
Ho ho ho fans,
I've been having fun with Christmas again ! This card was inspired / idea nicked! from a super blogging friend Gina, who has a fantastic blog. One post was a LOTV stamped card that was just wonderful!
I know I have the stamp that Gina used for this colouring technique but I cannot find it!

Found this stamp from Papermania (PMA 9062901) called Bauble Decoration that I've had for about three years and never used.

Oooo.... I thought (as you do) this stamp will be super for this technique !
I asked Gina if I could pinch her idea and she kindly agreed.

The image is coloured with Promarkers ... it took all of ten minutes!  I posted the card on Facebook and it received a lot of interest !

Thanks Gina... now where is that LOTV stamp ... I know I have it somewhere !

Black UTEE and Mica Powders Twinchie Tutorial.

2 inch x 2 inch Chipboard Square
Hello fans...
Still raining ! So it's crafting all the way, whoop whoop!

I am posting this quick tutorial today.  I hope you'll find it useful and have a go yourself.

I've made two Twinchies with black UTEE and Cosmic Shimmers Mica Powders

 Clarity Stamp, Leafy Swirls.

Paint a 2 inch x 2 inch square of chipboard with Black Gesso or Acrylic Paint.

Let it dry then cover it in Versamark embossing ink and black UTEE or normal EP.

Heat with a heat gun until it melts and is smooth... cover with more UTEE using more Versamark ink if  necessary.

Repeat the above procedure three times in total.

When the Twinchie is cool choose some mica powder colours.

I used three interference colours from  the Cosmic Shimmers range on each of the samples shown here.

The interference colours seem to show up really well .

Using a clean DRY brush, dab the powders generously all over the Twinchie and then put it to one side while you ink up a stamp with a Metallic Pigment ink.
I used  Brillance Silver here.

Heat the Twinchie once more until the surface melts and quicky take your inked up stamp and press it  into the soft UTEE ... Be firm but try not to let it slide!

After a few seconds remove the stamp and bingo .... job done!

Please be aware that some Pigment inks take ages to dry ... so DON'T touch!

If  the image is not deep enough or you don't like it ... apply more Versamark and more UTEE, repeat the process one more time!

Please email me if you have any question, eileen@ken-godwin.com

Now .... do us a favour... a few of us are starting , once again (don't ask!)  a Twinchie Challenge Blog

We have loads of followers which is surprising and super of them, cos there's nothing to follow yet!

Please keep an eye out for the new Challenge ... 1st July  here  Show Us your Twinchies Challenge Blog.
Thank you for popping by my blog today ... I'm off to dance in a few puddles!

Well ... what else can you do?

PanPastels and a Inkadinkado stamp.... for Dad's Day!

Morning all .... went to a family birthday / retirement  party yesterday. FABULOUS time but too much Champagne so I am feeling a little 'delicate' as I write this. I need  more coffee!

This card is a TEN MINUTE jobbie!  6" x 6" white linen card. Some masking tape prepared the 'Barbara Gray' way by sticking it on your arm a few times to take off some of the sticky and the hair on your arms as well!

Score a couple of lines across the card in the middle area. I used my Hougie Board for this difficult and precise procedure lol!

Plonk your masking tape down using the lines to keep it straight and swipe away with your PanPastels.
I used three different shades of blue starting off with Turquoise Tint then Turquoise and finally Phthalo Blue.

After spraying with a cheap hairspray to seal the Pans colour, take off the masking tape and ink up the Inkadinkado stamp ( 97538-LL) in Versafine Onyx Black then stamp away.

Very quick card which is, of course, my DT sample for this weeks magnificent PanPastel Challenge... Boys / Fathers Day Card.

Go on, have a go, you could win a super trial pack of Fabulous PanPastels

The Sentiment is a Rub-on from my stash.

Thank you for the very kind messages and comments this week ... appreciate them all XXX

Hi ya new followers ... always great to see you and many thanks for your interest !

I'll be back soon as I've had a few requests to do a Tutorial on this Chipboard Twinchie.

Tutorial soon
I feel like making another so I will take pictures as I go ...

Have a good day .... F1 Racing for meeeeee !  Rock'n roll!

For Vi 1946 - 2012

I  feel very sad, as I say goodbye today, to another crafty friend.
Vi .....who also lost her fight with cancer this week.
Vi was loved by everyone that knew her.
A super lady with a huge personality. She was always full of fun and laughter.
Vi adored butterflies and flowers, hence the butterflies on my Tag.

It's very bright and colourful and that's Vi!  All of us that knew her will feel our lives have lost some of that 'brightness' today.

Chris King reckons, that where ever you are Vi ... you will 'tell 'em like it is!'  Yeah... you will!
Rock on Vi ...... X

For Alison 1961 - 2012

This card is in remembrance of my friend Alison who sadly lost her battle with cancer two weeks ago.

A truly courageous lady that I was fortunate enough to meet because of this wonderful hobby of ours.

Alison was always laughing, with a fantastic sense of humour that was enjoyed by everyone that knew her.

Alison was a regular member of a crop that meets monthly in my village. We all craft, gossip and laugh.

We will all miss your smiling face so much Alison. Rest in gentle peace.

PanPastels Vintage Tag

Tim Holtz Stamps and Keyhole  Die
Morning ... I'm a bit out of my comfort zone with 'Vintage' looks and colours! But I really enjoyed making this Tag for this weeks PanPastels UK Challenge ' Something Vintage'.

I  covered the Tag with some Tim Holtz tissue paper, using Golden Gel Medium to glue and coat it with, after scrunching it up a bit.  I coloured it with my PanPastels, greys and browns, of course, plus a little yellow ochre.

Background TH Tissue Paper.
To seal the pastel colours I swiped the whole tag with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

You can enter the PanPastel challenge using any medium .. it's great fun, have a go, you could win a fabulous trial pack of PanPastels from our Sponsor.

The seam binding at the top of the tag has been coloured using the PanPastels and sprayed with a cheapo hairspray to seal the colour....... add a few 'Chit Chat' words from Tim Holtz and bingo all done!

I just love 'Chit Chat' words!
Thank you for popping by my blog today ... have a great bank holiday!
See you soon
